One Good Thing

social media campaign & interactive board

May 2022

This project was incredibly involved and took a long time to bring to fruition. Being able to create an interactive piece of art from scratch is something that brings me so much joy and is something that I want to continue to do.
As the marketing assistant for the School of Fine and Performing Arts, I wanted to create an initiative for other students to connect with each other while so many events are shut down during COVID.
I decided to create a board, placed in a public space for students, faculty, and anyone who was allowed in the building to write “One Good Thing” to help them get through the semester.
As seen in the videos below, I was able to use the vinyl cut printers at New Paltz. The vinyl cuts were placed on a foam core board and mounted onto the wall outside of the Dorsky Museum. For the first week after the initial instillation, I visited the board every day to update the FPA instagram. Here I would post stories of the responses written on the board.
This entire project was approved by and follow all branding guides of the School of Fine and Performing Arts
